The Publish file, or sppub.ini file, is used for metadata purposes, which include the ability to:
The Publish file can be created in a text editor or using the Skillsoft Publisher. If you create this file outside the Publisher, store it in the course root folder as the Publisher searches this by default. For a full list of properties, see the Publish File Property List.
The Publisher looks for the Publish file (sppub.ini) in the course root folder. Each course contains a Publish file, called sppub.ini, which you can create manually or have the Skillsoft Publisher create for you. If the sppub.ini file does not exist, the Publisher creates the publish file and prompts you for the publish information in the Publish File Data page.
The Publisher accepts courses with publish files that contain the full set of valid properties, but publish files created using the Publisher do not contain all possible properties. This is due to some optional properties having specialized use (for example, the Publisher does not support assessment unit IDs in this release). The properties available for the sppub.ini vary for each content type.
