Understanding Recurring Assets
A recurring asset is a piece of administrator-assigned content that requires users to retake it at admin-specified intervals (for example, every year to maintain a certification). Recurring assets are set in the SkillPort Admin UI when assigning content to users' MY PLAN.
Note: You can use recurring assets to help your organization's compliance initiatives. Compliance, as used within SkillPort, is the conformity to your organization's established guidelines and requirements for completing one or more specific learning assets in a set period of time.
If recurring assets are enabled for your organization, there are slight differences when assigning content to users' MY PLAN. If this feature is enabled, a new area (Type) appears in the Add to My Plan window.
When this feature is enabled, there are differences in how the assets are presented within users' MY PLAN. Stringency rules are the logic behind how SkillPort prioritizes required assets. They are as follows:
Individual Override or Group Requirement
Required or Optional Asset
Recurring Assignment Type
Validity in Days
Due Date (Only for Recurring Due Date)
Using the Enable Forced Restart web site switch, you can configure your SkillPort site to force an asset to restart.
If the Enable Forced Restart web site switch is enabled:
