New Compliance Options
In 7.3, the
enableCompliance SKP parameter functions differently. Instead of enabling the recurrence feature for both learners and administrators, enabling this allows the assignment of three types of recurring assets:
- Recurrence by Completion Date (Administrator-assigned)
The next due date for the recurring asset is set from the day the learner completes the assignment. For example, if recurrence is set to one year, and the learner completes the asset on May 31, 2011, the next due date is May 31, 2012.
Note: Recurrence by Completion Date is equivalent to what currently exists in 7.2.
- Recurrence by Due Date
The next due date for the recurring asset is a set date, regardless of when the asset is completed. For example, if recurrence is set to one year, the due date is set to be May 31, 2011 and the learner completes the asset on May 10, 2011 the next due date is still May 31, 2012 of the following year.
Note: Recurrence by Due Date is a new option for 7.3. Stringency rules, which determine how assets display within a user’s MY PLAN, apply to all administrator-assigned recurring assets.
- Self-assigned Restart
A new SKP parameter,
enableRestart, allows for learners to set their own restarting assets. This parameter enables a Recurrence check box in the Add to My Plan dialog box, which appears when a learner adds something from the catalog into their MY PLAN. It allows for the learner to retake the asset, creating a new progress record each time the asset is completed.
Note: Restart is a new option for 7.3. Stringency rules do NOT apply to self-assigned recurring assets. Admin-assigned recurring assets take priority over self-assignments.
