Generating the MSI

To generate the MSI

1. Navigate to the content installation directory and to folder web\client\utilities.
2. Enter msidist.bat command:

   

3. After running msidist.bat, there will be two MSI packages created in the same folder as the msidist.bat file. MSI Package is named after SkillSoftCourseManager_(version of SCM)_(32 or 64)bit.msi.

   For example, after running msidist.bat with SCM source version 6.6.50, there will be two MSI Packages:

   • SkillSoftCourseManager_6.6.50_32bit.msi for 32bit Window OS.
   • SkillSoftCourseManager_6.6.50_64bit.msi for 64bit Window OS.

     Note: The number of languages which user can choose while installing with SCM MSI depends on the number of languages which the SCM source supports. For example, if during the CIK installation above you choose to install only 2 languages, SCM MSI only lists these 2 languages for user’s choice.
