Internet Explorer Settings

Internet Explorer 8 or later

The instructions below are for Internet Explorer 8; for specific instructions on other versions of Internet Explorer, see Microsoft's website.

Set Privacy Options

1. From the Internet Explorer Tools menu, select Internet Options.
2. Click the Privacy Tab.
3. Set the Privacy setting to Medium High or lower.
4. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

   Note: If you set the Privacy Setting to High, you must add Books24x7 to your Allowed Sites list (also called a White List).

Add Books24x7 to your Allowed Sites List

1. From the Internet Explorer Tools menu, select Internet Options.
2. Click the Privacy tab.
3. Click the Sites... button.
4. Enter books24x7.com in the Address of website field.
5. Click Allow.

   Books24x7.com will be added to the list of Managed Web sites.

6. Click OK.
7. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

   Note: The highest Privacy setting, "Block All Cookies," does not allow adding allowed sites and will prevent your browser from working with any Books24x7 site.

Overriding automatic cookie handling

1. From the Internet Explorer Tools menu, select Internet Options.
2. Click the Privacy tab.
3. Click the Advanced button.
4. Select Accept for First party cookies.
5. Check Allow session cookies.
6. Click OK.
7. Click OK to close the Internet Options window.

   Note: It will not affect your access to Books24x7 if you block third-party Cookies.
