Practice Lab Content Pane

There are five tabs in the Content pane:

Lab Navigation provides three views to help you locate and select a lab exercise:

Available Practice Labs view

  • View a list of Practice Labs available to your account. If the list is too long, enter the lab name in the Filter your courses field to quickly locate the course.

Lab Guide List view

  • Once you've selected a Practice Lab, the Lab Guide List view is displayed for the course selected.
  • To return to the Available Practice Labs view, click Back to Practice Labs.

Exercise List view

  • When you select a Lab Guide, the Content pane displays the list of exercises.
  • Select the exercise and click Start.

  • Click Back to Practice Labs to return to the Available Practice Labs view at any time.

Click Start to switch from the Left navigation tab to the Exercise Content tab and display the content for that exercise.

Note: When a lab is in progress you can switch back to Exercise List view, when without losing the connection to the lab devices, by clicking the Lab Navigation tab.

Exercise Content Buttons

Button/Control Type Description
Navigation buttons Navigation

Prev / Next: Use to navigate back and forward in the sequence of exercises in the Lab Guide.

# of #: Displays the page number you are as well as the total number of pages for the lab.

Top: Returns you to the top of exercise.
Completion buttons Completion Indicates if the Lab Guide is complete or incomplete. You can toggle this button. See Complete your Content for details about how to complete a Practice Lab.
Print button, black outline of printer View Print Friendly Content Opens a new tab displaying the Lab Guide.
Screenshot of print view Print view Displays all exercises in the lab guide in a print-friendly view. This content can be saved as a web page or PDF file, or it can be printed, if required.

Log Panel button

Toggles the display of the Log Panel.
  Log Panel

Displays information which may be useful to accessibility users and technical support.

Settings and Customization can be accessed at any time and allows you to change your email and/or password.

Additional Features allows you to view and download any files you have uploaded to the intranet while working on a lab. For more information, see Interacting with Practice Lab Devices.
