Wiki Roles

A user's role determines his or her privileges to the various functions in SkillPort. As a SkillPort Wiki user, you may be assigned one of the following roles:

  • Company Administrator: This user has the highest permissions assigned within the wikis discussion. The administrator is responsible for setting up the wiki, assigning the wiki to SkillPort Wiki users, assigning proper permissions to those users, and moderating inappropriate content within the wiki articles and comments. This user also has the permission to author content as well as participate in discussions and edit existing articles.
  • Author: This user has the permissions to create and moderate articles within the wiki as well as moderate comments left for the articles created.
  • Contributor: This user only has read-only permissions to the wiki itself, and can also add discussions to a wiki article.
