When packaging content using the AICC method, you must provide a set of AICC interchange files for each learning object or learning path you wish to publish to Skillport. Some of these files are in Microsoft Windows INI format and some in comma-delimited ASCII format. Publisher converts the interchange files to Skillport Course Structure Format (SPCSF) prior to deployment to Skillport.
The AICC CMI specification defines three levels of complexity for implementation, with level 1 being the least complex and level 3 the most complex.
Four AICC interchange files are required for AICC level 1 compliance, rising to seven files for level 3 compliance. As Skillsoft is implementing the first level of AICC compliance, you must create the following four files:
The easiest way to create the AICC interchange file set is to write each file manually using a text editor such as Notepad, while following the instructions for each file type.
