Completion Criteria

Skillport provides a capability that allows the client to set their Course Completion Criteria (CCC) either globally or on a per-course basis. These settings set the criteria, which determine whether a course is marked complete.

SCORM 1.2 courses report two different values - a score and a lesson status. The following list of elements is a setting or checkbox in the Skillport Administrator page and describes how the Skillport CCC uses the two values to determine the completion status of the course:

Set the Minimum Score

The administrator specifies a minimum score that is necessary for the course to be marked complete in Skillport. Normally this is a percentage score in the range 0 to 100. If the SCORM 1.2 course supplies a score, then it compares it against this value. If the course score is greater or equal to the Skillport Minimum Score, the course is marked as completed in Skillport. Otherwise, the course is marked as started.

The SCORM 1.2 standard scores a course depending on the setting of all of these values. Normally, the raw score is equivalent to the percentage score, as the defaults for min and max, uses a scaled range of 0 to 100. If the course modifies the min or max values, then The SCORM RTE adjusts the raw score by those values to get a percentage score, which Skillport uses.

Allow Course Completion By Content Visitation

When this switch is set, this allows Skillport to mark a SCORM 1.2 as completed in Skillport if the SCORM value of cmi.core.lesson_status is set to either passed or completed.

Mark Completed Courses As Frozen

This setting affects the database reset capabilities and applies to all completion criteria, including the ones for SCORM 1.2. This setting does not affect the scoring of SCORM courses.
