General Considerations
- Use templates to maintain a consistent look to the courses. It also reduces testing, and allows reuse, which reduces work.
- Review the subject matter and perform content testing is the responsibility of the developer.
- Maintain and review of the tools and technology is the responsibility of the content developer.
- Make required file edits to the files for interoperability issues, after using tool that generates output.
- Validate a representative sample of the content using the SCORM 1.2 test suite, available from http://www.adlnet.org/, before submitting SCORM content for publishing to Skillport. A sample validation includes metadata and content packaging conformance. Although not madatory for content submission, Skillsoft recommends testing the RTE. Save the SCORM 1.2 test suite logs and submit them with a representative sample of the content for review by Custom Solutions.
- If subsequent content fails or behaves differently from the originally submitted representative content sample, Custom Solutions may require additional test logs to show the successful testing of all course submissions.
- Content runs in a frameset (invisible in the case of the RTE). Use
parent.window.close()
or top.window.close()
to close the window.
