Retiring Custom Content

You can remove inactive or obsolete custom courses from a Skillport production site by retiring the course. This allows you to free up disk space on the content server to house new courses.

Retired courses:

are removed from the content library on the production site.
are no longer accessible to learners.
have all prior course activity data retained.
cannot be restored unless either a) there is an available copy of the original course files, or b) a snapshot of the course was saved when the course was retired.
can subsequently be reactivated on the production site using the Restore functionality.
still display in reports, with a course status of Retired.
