Learning Edge

The Learning Edge is Skillsoft's online user group community. The Learning Edge contains information to help you make the most out of your experience with Skillsoft including the ability to:

  • View content catalogs
  • Share marketing ideas and best practices and access resources for promoting learning in your organization
  • Join a discussion and network with experts and peers
  • Make product enhancement requests
  • Get help
  • View upcoming events and announcements

Access the Learning Edge

To access the Learning Edge, you must have a Skillsoft Platform user role of site admin, learning admin, or content curator. If you have a Skillsoft Platform user role of domain administrator, you can contact your Skillsoft account team to get access. With one of these admin accounts, you can access the Learning Edge in one of two ways:

This is the most direct way because from the platform you are automatically authenticated into the Learning Edge with your Skillsoft Platform user credentials.

From the left navigation bar, select Explore > Learning Edge Community. If you do not see the Explore option, work with your Skillsoft account team to enable the Explore menu option.

If you do not have access to the Explore menu from the platform, and you have an appropriate admin role, you can still access the Learning Edge. To do so:

  1. Use a direct link such as: Learning Edge Catalogs.
  2. Select Login next to the location that best matches where your site is located. The options are based on the data center where your Skillsoft Percipio Platform site is hosted:
    • Americas - US data center
    • Global (Outside Americas) - EU data center.
  3. Enter your Skillsoft Platform domain name. For example in: https://akara.percipio.com, akara is the domain name of the Skillsoft Platform site URL.
  4. Select Go to Percipio.
  5. Log into your Skillsoft Platform site with your Skillsoft Platform credentials. The Learning Edge site displays.

Learning Edge User Account

When you access the Learning Edge for the first time, a secure account is automatically created for you using the following information from your Skillsoft Platform user account:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • User UUID
  • Skillsoft Platform user role
  • Active status
  • When possible, it also uses the Skillsoft Platform URL and company name

If your Skillsoft Platform user account gets set to a status of inactive, or your role changes to learner or manager, you lose access to the Learning Edge.
