Meeting Link
On this page you see a link to start a meeting with your client on their desired meeting platform. You also see any necessary details about the meeting link such as a Meeting ID, password, and URL. At the time of a scheduled session, you can come to this page to start the meeting.
To access a client's meeting link page:
- From the left navigation bar, select Clients.
- Locate the client who's meeting link you wish to access and select their Name from the table.
- A new set of pages for that client now displays in the left navigation. Select Meeting Link.
Conduct a video session
For client convenience, Skillsoft Coaching has instituted two options for clients to conduct their sessions with you. One is the built-in Skillsoft Coaching video service via Zoom meetings and the other is through the client's preferred video conferencing app.
Regardless of which video option the client chose, they should join their coaching session directly from their Skillsoft Coaching dashboard.
Zoom is the default video service built into the platform for you and your clients to use for sessions. A unique Zoom link is created as soon as a video session is scheduled, and the client selects their preferred video option.
Quick tips for using Zoom:
- To blur your background, you must use the Zoom desktop app.
- When screen sharing using the Chrome browser, your or your client's audio and video may mute. You must both select Unmute. We suggest either using the Zoom desktop app or a different browser if you or your client experiences this issue.
For privacy and security purposes, all client communications (including messaging, scheduling, resource sharing, and conducting sessions) MUST take place within the Skillsoft Coaching system. To comply with GDPR, Zoom chat is not enabled. Please use the chat feature in the coaching platform to communicate with your clients.
Clients may choose to use their own preferred video conferencing service for sessions. If their organization blocks Zoom, this option is required. Once the client has set up their video meeting link, you receive a notification and see the link under their video settings.
If you experience any technical issues with your client’s preferred service, but Zoom is not blocked for their organization, you can switch to using a Zoom meeting powered by Skillsoft Coaching. To do this, select the link at the bottom of the Meeting link page and provide your client with the link and password to join. The client can also find this link by switching their selection to Zoom meeting powered by Skillsoft Coaching in their video settings.

These downloads are all free and should be installed prior to your first session with them. We recommend downloading and installing all options on your desktop now so you are prepared if/when a client inputs their preferred conferencing app.
