Coaching Platforms

Important features for you to review

To be of service to organizations globally, Skillsoft Coaching operates in two data centers. One is based in the European Union and focuses on serving organizations headquartered in EMEA or that require GDPR compliance. The other is in the United States and is focused on organizations headquartered everywhere else. Today, most organizations we work with utilize the data center located in the United States, which is where most of our coach accounts are setup.

Many customers in the European Union have additional data privacy rights that grant users greater control of private information, including the “Right to Be Forgotten”, and not storing any data outside of the EU. Creating an EU Data Center allows us to serve these European customers by segmenting EU data. Learn more about GDPR and why it matters.

A global network

As we expand our global network, we invite coaches to work on both platforms. Your location in one of the data centers does not affect the platforms, as organizations headquartered there have employees worldwide.

To support these organizations, you may need to work on an additional EU coaching platform. This means that while an organization may choose to store their client data in the EU instead of the US, the clients you match with are located within a few hours of your time zone for scheduling purposes.

Coaching in two separate platforms

If you choose to use the EU and US platforms, you need to administer coaching in the two platforms separately.

Please note, updating your profile steps in one platform does not add them in the other. You must complete onboarding in each platform separately. For example, you must maintain your Coach profile, availability and certifications in each platform separately.

Both platforms use the same email and password. When changing one it automatically updates both. You can switch between platforms using the bidirectional 9 dot icon located in the top right navigation, or from the login page.

You are alerted when you have unread notifications or messages in another platform by seeing a red dot on the 9 dot icon. Any emails you receive specify which platform is sending you the email and also have a link for easy access.
