Manage Pages

When you are designing your custom landing pages in Page Builder, you can create a hierarchy of pages in addition to the custom page layout using the design components.

Get Started Managing Pages

You can manage your pages from two different areas within Page Builder.

  • From the main Page Builder page, you can access the action menu associated with each parent page.

    1. From the left navigation in the admin view, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
    2. From the Your pages at a glance section at the bottom, locate the set of pages you want to manage.
    3. From the action menu associated with that parent page, select the option you want to perform. Available actions vary based on the status of the parent page. You may see:
  • From the Page Builder page, you can access the action menu associated with each parent and subpage. Associated steps to get there are:

    1. From the left navigation bar, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
    2. From the Your pages at a glance section at the bottom, locate the set of pages you want to manage.
    3. Select the page name to open it in Page Builder.
    4. From the Pages tab, locate the page and select the option from the action menu you want to perform. Available actions vary based on the type of page that is selected. You may see:

Manage Permissions for Page Access

To manage who has permission to edit or delete the pages you created:

  1. From the left navigation in the admin view, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
  2. From the Your pages at a glance section at the bottom, locate the set of pages you want to manage.
  3. From the action menu associated with that parent page, select Manage Access. A dialog box displays.
  4. In the field Permission: Choose which admins with Page Builder access permissions can make changes to your pages. You can select All admins which gives all admins with Page Builder access the ability to edit and delete your pages. You can select Limited access to restrict who can make changes to your pages. If you limit access, choose which admins have permission.
  5. To save your changes, select Rename.

Set as Default Home Page

To set a published page as a default home page:

  1. From the left navigation in the admin view, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
  2. From the Your pages at a glance section at the bottom, locate the set of pages you want to manage.
  3. From the action menu associated with that parent page, select Set as default home page. A dialog box displays.
  4. Choose which audiences should have this page as their default home page. Only audiences assigned to this page display in the list.
  5. Select Confirm to save your changes.

Manage page

If you previously published a page, you can review all settings associated with the page set and make changes. You can use this option to confirm the pages have the settings you want and make any edits immediately before republishing.

  1. From the left navigation in the admin view, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
  2. From the Your pages at a glance section at the bottom, locate the set of pages you want to manage.
  3. From the action menu associated with that parent page, select Manage page. The review step of the Publish process display.
  4. Edit any information.

Add a subpage

To add a subpage:

  1. From the left navigation bar, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
  2. From the Your pages at a glance section at the bottom, select the main page to open it in Page Builder.
  3. From the Pages tab, locate the higher level page and select the action menu , then Add subpage.
  4. Enter a unique Page title. The subpage is added below the page selected. Customize it as needed. You can reorder the subpages that are under the same higher level page by selecting and dragging the 6-dot icon . You cannot change the level of a subpage. You can copy its link to add to a Static card on your main page so learners can navigate to the subpage. The hierarchy structure of the subpages displays in the left navigation if you choose to show the main page in the left navigation.

Duplicate page set

If you have a set of pages that you want to duplicate and tweak for another audience, you can do that. To duplicate a page set:

  1. From the left navigation in the admin view, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
  2. From the Your pages at a glance section at the bottom, locate the set of pages you want to manage.
  3. From the action menu associated with that parent page, select Duplicate.
  4. Specify the following information for the new page set:
    • Page title: This is the title of the page that shows in the left navigation to learners if you choose to show it to them.
    • URL: If you do not show the page on the left navigation, you can copy the URL so you can share it from another website or in an email. If you do not show the page on the left navigation, the only way learners can get to it is directly using the URL.
    • Permission: Choose which admins with Page Builder access permissions can make changes to your pages. You can select All admins which gives all admins with Page Builder access the ability to edit and delete your pages. You can select Limited access to restrict who can make changes to your pages. If you limit access, choose which admins have permission.
    • Don’t show this page in the left navigation: Check the box if you do not want the pages you are creating to show to learners in the left navigation.
  5. Select Duplicate. A new set of pages is created. You can make any edits to page design or adjustments to page hierarchies as needed.

Duplicate a subpage

To duplicate a subpage:

  1. From the left navigation bar, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
  2. From the Your pages at a glance section at the bottom, select the main page to open it in Page Builder.
  3. From the Pages tab, locate the subpage and select the action menu , then Duplicate page.
  4. Enter a unique Page title. The copy is added at the same level as the page selected. Customize it as needed.

Reorder pages

  • You can reorder the subpages that are under the same level. You cannot change the level of a subpage. You can copy its link to add to a Static card on your main page so learners can navigate to the subpage. The hierarchy structure of the subpages displays in the left navigation if you choose to show the main page in the left navigation.
  • To reorder pages in the hierarchy:

    1. From the left navigation bar, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
    2. From the Your pages at a glance section at the bottom, select the parent page to open it in Page Builder.
    3. From the Pages tab, locate the subpage and select and drag the 6-dot icon to the new placement. You cannot drag the page across levels.

    Rename a page or subpage

    To rename a page or subpage:

    1. From the left navigation bar, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
    2. From the Pages at a glance section at the bottom, expand the main pages to find the page you want to rename.
    3. Select the main page to open it in Page Builder.
    4. From the Pages tab, locate the page and select the actions menu , then Rename.
    5. Enter a new name in the Page title line. This is what displays to learners in the left navigation.

    Copy Page Link

    To copy the URL for a page or subpage:

    1. From the left navigation bar, select Learning > Page Builder. The Page Builder page displays.
    2. From the Your pages at a glance section at the bottom, select the main page to open it in Page Builder.
    3. From the Pages tab, locate the page or subpage and select the actions menu , then Copy link. The URL is copied to your clipboard.
