Getting Started with Imports
The Import feature in the Customer Service site allows you to batch upload data into your Compliance site. With the Import feature you can:
- Upload multiple new users
- Update existing users
- Create new groups based on demographics
- Create assignments for individual learners and groups
- Add historical completions for non-web based courses, or equivalencies for online courses
- Add exemptions for specified courses to individual users
- Add non AICC or SCORM web-based courses to your library
The Import tool is a convenient way to simultaneously add several data records to your site.
Importing user data is useful when you are configuring your Compliance site for the first time, or when migrating data into a new Compliance site.
Importing historical data is useful for marking non web-based training as complete, or importing equivalencies for new employees who completed the course prior to acquisition.
Note: The Customer Service Site includes many features that you may or may not be able to access. However, this Knowledge Base focuses on the two most common features: Importing user data, and importing historical data.
