Notes and Reflections
If your admin turns on the Allow learners to use Notes and Reflections feature for your organization, you can:

Add notes to Skillsoft courses or audiobooks while learning and then view all your notes on the Notes and Reflections page.

Add your private reflections in response to a series of thought-provoking questions at the end of a course. By reflecting on what you've learned, you gain a greater understanding of the course material and retain that knowledge over the longer term.
If your admin turns on the Allow learners to take notes and make highlights in books feature for your organization, you can:

Add notes to SkillsoftBooks orBook Summaries while learning and then view all your notes and highlights on the Notes and Reflections page,
To access the Notes and Reflections page when either of these settings is on, from My Profile, select Notes and Reflections.
For Notes you can:
- Download notes: Download your notes into a CSV file. The CSV file contains the following information:
- Note: The note text you entered, up to 3000 characters. You can use hashtags in each note for categorization purposes.
- Title: The title of the content item that contains the note.
- Type: Identifies whether the item is a course or audiobook.
- Topic: The name of the course video or audiobook chapter where you placed the note.
- Date created The date you created the note
- Date edited:If you edited the note, the edit date is included.
- Filter by tags: If you used hashtags in your notes, you can filter your notes by the hashtagged text. Use this as a way to categorize your notes.
- See the total number of notes you have taken across all content items. If you filter by tags, this number updates.
- Expand or collapse your notes: You may have taken many notes in many different courses and audiobooks. To see a quick list of just the items where you have notes, collapse the list. To see all your notes within all your items, expand the list.
- Link to the note: If you can't remember where in the item you took the note, select the hyperlinked time stamp. The course or audiobook opens to that exact point with your note showing.
- Edit a note: From the Actions menu, you can edit a note.
- Delete a note: From the Actions menu, you can delete a note.
For Reflections you can:
- Download reflections: Download your notes into a CSV file. The CSV file contains the following information:
- Reflection: The text you entered, up to 3000 characters. You can use hashtags for categorization purposes.
- Title: The title of the content item that contains the reflections.
- Date created The date you created the reflection.
- Date edited:If you edited the reflection, the edit date is included.
- Filter by tags: If you used hashtags in your reflections, you can filter your notes by the hashtagged text. Use this as a way to categorize your reflection.
- See the total number of reflections you have across all content items. If you filter by tags, this number updates.
- Expand or collapse your reflections: You may have taken many reflections in many different courses. To see a quick list of just the items where you have reflections, collapse the list. To see all your reflections within all your items, expand the list.
- Link to the reflection: If you can't remember the course where you added the reflection, select the hyperlinked. The course where you added the reflections displays.
- Edit a note: From the Actions menu, you can edit a reflection.
- Delete a note: From the Actions menu, you can delete a reflection.
