Global Email Settings
Use the Setup Options page to configure global settings for all email notifications.
- In the Compliance Admin menu, click Setup > Email Notifications.
- In the Email Configurations page, click Setup.
- Enter values for, or select the following options:
- Number of Retry Attempts: The number of days the system tries to resend an email that failed to send the first time. By default, the system attempts to resend a failed email for seven consecutive days. The system sends all emails on a nightly basis.Note: If an administrator reactivates an inactivated email but does not change the start date, the system assumes email failure during the inactivated period. When reactivated, the system attempts to catch up on these failed emails by going back the number of days specified in the Number of Retry Attempts field. To avoid having the system attempt sending outdated emails, change the start date or set the Number of Retry Attempts to zero. For example: If you inactivate an email on June 1 with an original start date of April 23, then reactivate it on June 24 without changing the start date, and your Number of Retry Attempts is 7 days, the system tries to send emails meeting criteria starting on June 17. This could result in learners getting emails that may be unexpected.
- Default Access URL: The default login URL for users logging into Percipio Compliance. If the default URL is changed, the URL in existing email configurations is updated to the new URL. The Default Access URL should be your Percipio URL unless your organization uses an internal URL and your learners use single sign-on to access Percipio.
- Use HTML: Enables the HTML tab when editing email notifications, so that emails can be sent to learners in HTML format. If disabled (default), emails will be in simple text.
- Approximate Time of Day to Send: Compliance emails are sent to an email que based on the time selected and the location of Skillsoft’s Datacenter.
- Time zone for US Data Center – Eastern Standard Time
- Time zone for EU Data Center – UTC Time – the Datacenter is located in Germany and reflects their local time zone. (The UI may show EST, but the EU Datacenter time zone is used)
