Known Issues

Desktop

• Pixelated Video in Chrome

  Scaled Performance Support Videos can have poor quality in Chrome on the desktop, where the text is partially illegible. If this occurs, do the following:

  Workaround:

  1. In your browser, open a new tab.
  2. Type chrome://flags/ into the address bar.
  3. In the list of features, locate Disable hardware-accelerated video decode and click Enable.
  4. Close Chrome and relaunch the course in a new Chrome browser window.
• Keyboard shortcuts do not work in Safari

  In Safari, keyboard shortcuts do not work while a learner is in full screen mode, due to that Apple dropped support for keyboard input, citing security risks. However, built-in keyboard shortcuts for exiting full screen mode work as expected. (CR 186957)

Tablet

• Android Issues
  • Certain click/touch actions translate incorrectly in the browser, causing issues with course playback. There is currently no workaround.

    Solution: Upgrade to a newer Android OS version.

  • Clicking a read only text area displays the keyboard to edit the browser's address field, which could possibly lead the learner to a different URL and to exiting the player. (CR 141666)
  • Clicking on the Email contents from a Reflect Report behaves inconsistently. This is due to a known issue with the native email applications on Android devices. (CR 158528)

    Workaround: Use a different email application, such as the Gmail application.

  • The Print/Print page icon does not work on the Test Score Report page. (CR 158747)
  • In Google Nexus with Android 4.4 (and later) tablets using Google Chrome browser, exiting full screen mode while viewing videos can result in users hearing the audio but not seeing the video. (CR 173652)

    Workaround: Select the Maximize button in the player to go to full screen viewing, then manually switch back to regular viewing using the tablet's native return button. If your tablet has one, you can also use the native button to control full screen mode.

  • In Samsung Galaxy Tab3 with Android 4.x does not work well in the native browser.

    Workaround: Upgrade to the Chrome browser.

Other

• Internet Explorer 11: Playback speed functionality is not available. (CR 198383

Web Accessibility

• When the Play button is selected to hear audio/video in the player, the play button will go from play to pause to play state, and the alt text of the button changes from "pause" and back to "play".  In JAWS 16, even though the alt text value is "play", when you tab to the button, it thinks the value is "play pause".  (CR 175963)

  Workaround: To resolve this, you need to click outside of the browser window and back.

• CR 208321: An issue is causing unrealistically high duration listed for some learner's courses.
• CR 208598: in IOS, an issue is causing embedded audio in a course to open in a blank window during playback, as opposed to playing the file while the course page displays.                    
• CR 208798: An issue exists where the closed captioning video time line does not exactly match the video, thus precluding page completion.
• CR 208944: With pop up blocker enabled in IE 11, an issue is causing a course to close when accessing the help menu.        
• CR 209146: In OLSA, an issue is causing a special character in a user's name to not appear correctly in the course.                 
• CR 209765 : In some courses, the Objectives section for this course is showing blank in Skillport.
