Completion and Lesson Scores

Your course may require you to earn a minimum score on each lesson test as a completion requirement. You can retake lesson tests in order to attempt to earn a higher lesson score. Note that retaking lesson tests cannot lower your score.

How Lesson Scores are Calculated

Lessons are composed of topics, and topics are composed of objectives. Lesson scores are calculated by averaging all of the objective scores within a particular lesson, using the following formula:

([T1 score * # of objectives] + [T2 score * # of objectives] +[T3 score * # of objectives] + [T4 score * # of objectives]) / total # of objectives in the lesson = lesson score

Example: A lesson has five topics, and each topic contains a single objective. The user scores 75, 80, 25, 90, and 100. The lesson score is:

(75 * 1) + (80 * 1) + (25 * 1 ) + (90 * 1 ) + (100 * 1) / 5 = 74%

For example, if the course requires you to earn a minimum score on each lesson test of 80%, then you will need to retake lessons one and three above (scores of 75 and 25) to earn a minimum score of 80% in order to complete the course.

Lesson Test Details Tab

The Details Tab lists the lessons, their topics, and the topic test scores for each topic in the lesson. The Details Tab shows the first, current, and highest scores earned. Selecting any topic link will bring you back to the topic. You can retake any lesson test directly from the course test results page.
