Using the Text Tab

The Text tab in the Style Editor allows you to modify font attributes for selected areas of text within a package.

To use the Text tab

  1. In the Design pane Styles tab, select the style you want to modify.
  2. Use the Highlight style in quick preview feature to verify that you have the correct style selected.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Modify the desired fields. (See below for more information)
  5. Click Apply to apply the changes and leave the Style Editor open, or click OK to apply the changes and close the Style Editor.

The fields within the Text tab are explained below:

Font Section

Font Family

Choose Serif or Sans-Serif.

Font Selection

Choose Web Safe or Local Fonts. Local fonts are the fonts stored on your PC.

Font Dropdown

The dropdown is populated with fonts based on the choices above.

Format Section

Size

Choose % or em from the dropdown. For %, enter a value between 50 and 150. For em, enter a value between 0.5 and 1.5.

Style

Choose normal, italic, or oblique.

Weight

Choose normal, bold, bolder, or lighter.

Color

Click the color palette icon to select a color, or enter a value in the text box. Values can be either the hexadecimal color value such as '#ff0000', or the color name such as 'red'.

Alignment

Choose right, center, left, or justify.

Text Decoration Section

Select Underline, Overline, Strikethrough, Small caps, or None.

Changes made to a specific area of text using either the Text Editor or the HTML Editor will take precedence over changes made with the Style Editor.
