Engagement Features

Percipio offers the following features to help engage your learners:

  • Engagement: Configure options that motivate learners to learn such as being able to earn digital badges, receive push notifications, and set learning goals.
  • XP: Experience Points is a gamification system that allows learners to earn points for completing learning activity and managers to earn points for completing tasks that help them become force multipliers for creating a learning culture in your organization.
  • Leaderboards: Configure the types of leaderboards your learners see.
  • Mobile App: Allow Percipio to display links for users to be able to download the Percipio mobile app.
  • Social Learning: Configure whether you want learners to see the Question and Answer and Study Group features allowing learners to interact over content.

Benefits of Enabling Engagement Features

When you enable engagement features, you transform learning from passive consumption into an interactive, rewarding, and socially connected experience. This drives learner motivation, organizational performance, and cultural alignment. Some benefits include:

  • Boost learner motivation and participation
    • Gamification elements like badges, XP, and leaderboards create a sense of achievement and friendly competition.
    • Learners are more likely to return, complete courses, and maintain learning streaks when progress feels rewarding.
  • Faster time-to-competency
    • Recognition on leaderboards and visible progress toward goals encourage learners to finish what they start. These visible features accelerate skill acquisition by encouraging consistent participation and spaced learning. This means employees reach required competency levels faster, reducing onboarding time and improving productivity sooner.
    • Organizations see higher engagement metrics, including daily active users and longer session times.
  • Improved knowledge retention and application
    • Social learning tools (study groups, Q&A) and gamified micro-goals promote distributed practice and peer support, which enhances retention and real-world application of skills, leading to better job performance.
    • Social learning tools build community and reduce isolation in digital learning environments.
  • Enhance skill recognition and career development
    • Digital badges serve as verifiable proof of skills and achievements.
    • Learners can share badges externally (e.g., LinkedIn), boosting personal branding and supporting talent mobility.
    • Employees who feel valued and see growth paths are less likely to leave, reducing turnover costs.
  • Enhanced employee productivity and performance
    • Engaged learners apply new skills faster, improving operational efficiency and reducing errors. This translates into tangible business outcomes like increased sales, better customer service, and fewer compliance issues.
  • Data-driven decision making
    • Engagement metrics (XP earned, leaderboard rankings, Q&A participation) provide actionable insights for managers and L&D teams.
    • These insights help optimize learning strategies and align them with business goals, and help identify top performers, engagement trends, and areas needing intervention.
