When you see the asset type for linked content, it could be associated with any of following Skillsoft content types: AI simulator, cheatsheets, interactive courses, test preps, labs, bootcamps, partner content and any custom content items you added. When you see the asset type, scheduled content, it could be associated with any of following Skillsoft items: live courses or live events. When you see the asset type, assessment, it is associated with the content type of Skill Benchmarks. If you see the asset type, journey, you won't see data in the duration, date, and time fields because that data is captured for the content items stored in a journey.

A method to track learning plan assignments with a delivery method other than the Web (e.g., video, classroom, CD, etc.).

Assignments consist of one or more courses, books, or other content types, with a due date for learner completion. Admins can assign three types of assignments: ordered assignments, self completions, and criteria completions.

An assignment containing assets that can be completed in any order. The asset is completed when the completion criteria, set by the Percipio admin, is met (for example, score 70% on a test, or listen to 50% of an audiobook).

An object that accompanies content or answers. There are three types of attachments: document, image, and link. Content-level attachments may be flagged by an author as requiring attestation.

A record that gets created when a user responds to and submits all required fields for a product. Reviewers will be able to review and comment on any attempt, and Reporters will be able to run reports on any attempt.

An indication by a student that they have reviewed an attachment. First, the attachment must be viewed. Then, the student must check a checkbox indicating that they have reviewed the attachment.

Certifications are a unique area within the Library. You can browse certifications from various vendors and select channels focused on presenting targeted content for a particular certification path. You only see certifications in the library if you are entitled to them.

Training formats can include online, classroom, on-the-job, and third party events.

These courses, indicated with a component icon , contain multiple topics that are hidden by default. To use these courses, you must add a configuration, select the topics you want to show learners, and then publish it. You can add as many topics as you want to a component course. Topics you add can be located in the beginning, middle, or end of the course. You cannot edit a Skillsoft component course, you can only edit a configuration you added.

A unique identifier for a specific content asset. Content UUIDs are mapped to activity codes in SumTotal Learn and are also used with third-party learner management systems.

A completion is pushed into the historical table when 1) the completion expires and the course is ready for retraining or 2) the learning plan assignment (and any path of inheritance for that course) is completely removed from the user or group.

A record which may be a previous instance of a course for which the user still has a current requirement, meaning the user still has this course assigned to them but this instance was completed, expired and moved to history; or this may be a requirement previously assigned to the user and the learning plan assignment has been removed entirely from the user or the demographic group. For a requirement to be in history, there must be an associated completion or exemption/equivalency for that requirement. A historical requirement will show for a user only in My Transcripts.

If a learning plan assignment has been established for “All” members of a particular demographic category (e.g., Site), all subsequent demographic groups associated with that particular “site” will “inherit” the learning plan assignment.

Initial Training is defined as the first instance a learning plan assignment is assigned, where the learning plan assignment’s “valid-for” date is established as anything other than “one-time training” in the Academy. When an administrator assigns a course to a Demographic group or user for the first time, it is considered initial training. A user may also receive initial training when a new requirement is assigned and all previous completions for that course are invalid (see Valid Completion).

Live course is instructor-led training. Live course is a content type and appears under the Attend tab. A course is considered restarted if a learner previously completed it and then selected the Restart button. When a course is restarted, the learner sees a new row in their My Activity page and admins see a new row in reports. If a learner just relaunches a previously completed course, no new row shows in My Activity or reports. When a course is restarted and completed, the learner earns a new certificate of completion with the new completion date. Learners do not earn a new badge for a restarted course.

An Initial Setup feature that allows the Administrator to control access to the Academy. Under this option, a user must be pre-registered before they are able to log in and generate a record. Restricted access requires the use of a User ID and password, which must be distributed to the user.
