Device Icons

When you access a lab guide, the Lab Toolbar will display icons for all the devices available in that lab. The icon indicates the Device type and Device state indicator.

Device type

The device type is indicated by a graphic as shown in the table below. Note that not all devices can be directly accessed.

Device state indicator

The device status is indicated by text and a graphic as shown in the table below.

IconState
Device is off iconThe device is currently turned off.
device is busy iconThe device is busy. This state is shown when the device is starting up, shutting down or resetting, and is not available to connect.
device is on icon The device is powered on and is available to connect.
device is suspended iconThe device is suspended and must be resumed before connecting.
Note: Devices are powered off until a lab guide is loaded, at which point one or more devices may be automatically started.
