New Features and Enhancements (as of October 30, 2021)
Expanding skills of your workforce
The items in this section provide ways to grow your talent and fill critical skill gaps, building mastery with confidence.
Coming soon, Skillsoft courses will be available with a Q&A tab, which will allow learners to ask a question within your organization's Percipio community about the content covered in the course.
In support of that feature, Percipio now has a Q&A setting that allows you to determine how Q&A behaves for your learners. You can choose to allow learners to follow a course's Q&A and receive email notifications when something changes, or you can choose to hide the Q&A tab altogether.
You can find these settings under the Settings menu, Engagement and Notifications, and Social Learning.
For me details, see Questions and Answers (Q&A).
Engaging your learners to build a learning culture
The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.
To keep consistent with the Percipio desktop experience, app users can now browse through different categories like Custom Areas, Skill Areas, Certifications, Aspire Journeys, and the Showcase.
To engage the new browse experience, tap in the Search box. The main categories of the library display as strips showing their topics. If you setup a custom menu category, for your organization, it displays as the first strip.
Tap a topic to see its content items.

Manage, promote and measure learning
The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.
When defining User Attributes, admins now see a new option to add localized labels that display on the self registration page.
When a user accesses self registration and their browser locale is set to one of the languages defined by the Display label, they see the field displayed in that language. If no Display label is defined in that language, the user sees the label in English.
To address customer feedback and make Percipio reports as useful as possible, we updated the following reports:
- All Content Listing by Collection and All Content Listing by Title reports now include:
- A Retirement Date column showing when the content item retired or is scheduled to retire.
- A First Published Date column showing when the content item was first published.
- In the Status column, indications of whether content is retired or pending retirement.
- Assignment Summary by user report now includes the following columns: Percent completed, Overdue, Total assets, Assets not started, Assets started and Assets Completed.
- Assignment Detail by User report now includes the following columns: User status, Overdue, High score and Duration.
Ecosystems and Integrations
The items in this section help you to integrate Percipio across your learning ecosystem and promote how Skillsoft works with its partners.
All new and existing Compliance customers now see Skillsoft overrides for course-specific completion criteria for a number of courses. These overrides address two scenarios:
- Some courses have regulatory-driven minimum time requirements. To ensure these courses are configured properly in all sites, Skillsoft now automatically specifies the minimum total time in course field for impacted courses.
- Some courses do not have tests. When using default global completion criteria settings, users cannot complete these courses. Skillsoft now automatically specifies the visitation from Achieve minimum test score to View all content pages for impacted courses.
For more details, see Configure Completion Criteria.
If a user launches a course from an LMS, they will now see a Give Feedback button allowing them to complete a survey about their experience.
If a user launches a mobile app that uses single sign-on (SSO) and that app integrates with the Percipio mobile app, also configured to use SSO, the user only has to login to the first mobile app to have access to Percipio.
Usability Enhancements
The items in this section show where we are making improvements to the interface for a better experience.
The Percipio learner interface now fully supports Arabic including sending email notifications in Arabic. If your organization licensed all languages, learners also see recently released content in Arabic. Contact your Skillsoft account team for a list of courses available in Arabic.
The Percipio admin interface also supports all functionality in Arabic including email notifications, but admins may experience some slight formatting issues that will be resolved later in Q4.
Currently the mobile app and ELSA do not support Arabic.
To prevent login information from getting into the wrong hands, Skillsoft updated the login flow for all users to validate only the combination of the login name/email and password, and not individual login names and email addresses. The new Get Password Help option allows new users to create initial passwords and existing users to reset forgotten passwords.
When a learner downloads their Activity as a CSV file, they now see their Username and User ID in the top left corner. This allows them to differentiate between users with the same name.
If the learner name is not provided, the field is left blank.
When you view the user details of a specific audience from the Audience Management page, the view is now filtered to show only active users. You see the new filter at the top of the audience list in case you also want to include inactive users.
