Degreed Integration Requirements

To use the Degreed LXP connector with the Skillsoft Platform, as designed, you need to meet the following requirements.

If an item is marked with an asterisk (*), you must have it to integrate Degreed LXP    with the Skillsoft Platform.

  • *An active Skillsoft contract for all your learners who will be using Skillsoft content

  • *Degreed LXP  

  • *A valid identifier for each learner that is configured consistently between the Skillsoft Platform and Degreed . Supported learner identifier values include:

    • User ID: This is the user id of the Degreed LXP user
    • Email: This is the unique email address of the Degreed LXP user
  • *A SAML Identity Provider (IdP) that is able to supply user details including the identifier to the Skillsoft Platform, so learners can seamlessly access content in Percipio. Skillsoft recommends using Degreed LXP as the SAML IdP. This IdP must be capable of passing the matching user identifier for seamless SSO and deep linking.
  • *Credentials for Skillsoft to connect to the Degreed LXP SFTP location so that Skillsoft can deliver the files for the Automated Content Management function. Skillsoft can either send the files directly or to another location that you then move to the Degreed LXP SFTP locations.
  • *Credentials and endpoint information so that Skillsoft can send learner activity and completion data to Degreed LXP. Include xAPI /LRS detailsendpoint and any required authentication credentials.
  • Recommended: The same number of seat counts across all the Skillsoft content collections you licensed. We recommend this because all content from all Skillsoft collections is synchronized to one Degreed LXP catalog and all learners who can see this catalog can see all the content.
