Deploy content via FTP

Work with your Skillsoft account team to get started with Compliance integration.

  1. Decide on your course completion criteria with your Skillsoft account team.

  2. Determine if courses require configurations. For more details see Course configurations.

  3. Setup an FTP site.

You can use your own FTP site, or Skillsoft can provide a site for you.

  4. Schedule an export.

Work with your Skillsoft account team to schedule a recurring export job.

  5. Locate the AICC zip package on the FTP site.

The zip file on the FTP is called: AiccWrapperCompliance.zip and contains all the individual AICC files named by the Course number + Content ID.

  6. Download the AiccWrapperCompliance.zip file to a local drive.
  7. Extract the zip file so that you can import the individual AICC packages within it into your LMS.

If your LMS can automatically import the AICC packages, point it to where you extracted the files.

If your LMS does not support auto-importing the files, import them in whatever means your LMS provides.

Note: Each time the scheduled job runs, all your licensed content is exported to the FTP site. There is not an option to select only certain courses. However, when you import the files to your LMS, you can choose to import only the courses you want to make available to your learners.
