General Questions
Yes, there is a fee for Skillsoft Professional Services team to implement the LinkedIn Learning connector. After you implement the connector, it is free to use as part of Percipio.
Yes. You will need to license the Percipio by Skillsoft integration from LinkedIn Learning. For more information and any possible fees, contact your LinkedIn Learning Account Team.
This will depend on your specific implementation, but if you have purchased the Percipio by Skillsoft integration from LinkedIn Learning, your technical LMS administrator can perform the steps to configure LinkedIn Learning LMS.
Yes. If you contact your Skillsoft account team, they can share with you a short video that shows the learner experience.
This will depend on how prepared you are and the availability of your resources to work on the project.
To ensure your success, our Skillsoft team will work collaboratively with you during the implementation process and help you make decisions around deployment options that will work best for your configuration.
Our implementation team has defined the project schedule based on our years of experience and best practices. The project typically takes 6-8 weeks, but each project is unique and so Skillsoft will make our best effort to accommodate your schedule.

Yes. New Skillsoft content items will automatically be added to the LinkedIn Learning
Yes. Updated Skillsoft content items will automatically update in LinkedIn Learning.
Yes. Retired Skillsoft content items will automatically be marked as inactive in LinkedIn Learning.
Yes, for certain values. These values are usually unique to your specific implementation of LinkedIn Learning and not related to Skillsoft metadata about the content item.
During the implementation process the Skillsoft account team will work with you to configure these values.
No. There is no synchronization of Skillsoft Subjects and Areas to LinkedIn Learning.
No. There is no synchronization of Skillsoft Collection information to LinkedIn Learning.
Content launch and consumption
Using SAML Single Sign-on (SSO) means that learner’s access to the content in Percipio should be seamless. This is dependent on how your SAML system is configured.
Yes. Skillsoft recommends using LinkedIn Learning as your SAML Identity Provider, but you can use any identity provider so long as it can supply the correct learner identifier.
No. Using our recommended SAML configuration means that a Percipio learner account will be created the first time the learner accesses content. The learner account is populated with the SAML information your system supplies. Subsequent accesses will update the Percipio account based on the data from your SAML system.
You can also choose to setup an automated feed from your HR systems to add additional learner information to Percipio, if all the information is not available in your SAML system
LinkedIn Learning uses the metadata about Skillsoft content delivered through the Automated Content Management process. LinkedIn Learning has its own algorithms for displaying content, handling learner's searches, and providing content recommendations which is different from Percipio.
No. There is no synchronization of LinkedIn Learning assignments to Percipio.
No. There is no synchronization of Skillsoft subjects and areas to LinkedIn Learning.
Learners will be able to discover and launch content from:
- LinkedIn Learning web
- LinkedIn Learningmobile app
- Percipio web
- Percipio mobile app
- Any Percipio add-ons or plug-ins, such as Percipio for Microsoft Teams or Percipio ELSA browser plug-in
Yes. The Skillsoft content when synchronized is added to LinkedIn Learning with “None” availability as default. The LinkedIn Learning admin can then set the appropriate availability. For more information, please contact your LinkedIn Learning Account Team.
No. There is no synchronization of Skillsoft collection information to and so it is not possible to assign a Percipio license via .
You can assign licenses in Percipio, but learners may find content items in that they will not have access to in Percipio.
