Cancel Recurrence

If you created an assignment to be recurring, you can cancel or remove the recurrence at any time.

Site Admins can cancel a recurrence for any assignment. Learning Admins or Managers with admin permissions can cancel a recurrence only on assignments they created or have been given access to manage.

You can cancel a recurrence in one of two ways:

Cancel recurrence for all users and audiences

  1. From the left navigation bar, select Learning > Assignments. The Assignments page displays.
  2. Locate the assignment for which you wish to cancel the recurrence.
  3. Select actions menu icon, gray elipse > Cancel recurrence. You get a message indicating that you are removing the recurrence for the assignment, but that learners are still required to complete the current occurrence of the assignment. If you want to cancel the current occurrence and all future occurrences, you must select Cancel for all instead.
  4. Select Yes, cancel recurrence. The recurrence for the assignment is canceled for all learners. The end date of the recurrence is updated with the canceled date.

Cancel recurrence for a selected number of users or audiences

You can cancel a recurrence for individuals or audiences at any time. Canceling the recurrence only applies to future occurrences, not the current one.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select Learning > Assignments. The Assignments page displays.
  2. Locate the In Progress or Scheduled assignment you wish to cancel.
  3. From the Action menu actions menu icon, gray elipse, select archive icon, gray box with white downward arrow Summary. The assignment summary page displays.
  4. Select either the Manager Users or the Manage Audiences tab depending on whether you are canceling an individual user or an audience. You can cancel an individual user who was added as part of an audience from the Manager Users tab.
  5. Identify those in the list that should be canceled.
    1. For an individual user or audiences, from the Action menu actions menu icon, gray elipse, select cancel assignment button, circle with horizontal line in the middleCancel recurrence.
    2. If you want to select more than one individual or audience, first select Bulk Actions, then select each user or audience, then select the Cancel recurrence button.
  6. In the confirmation box, you can opt to notify the user(s) by selecting Notify user. After you select Yes, cancel recurrence, Percipio immediately cancels the recurrence. The end date of the recurrence is updated with the canceled date.
