Percipio Cornerstone LMS Integration

Overview

The Cornerstone LMS connector was developed by Cornerstone in partnership with Skillsoft. The connector is available to all Cornerstone LMS customers who licensed the Cornerstone LMS Percipio connector from the Cornerstone Edge Marketplace.

The connector allows customers to launch Skillsoft non-compliance content both from Percipio and from Cornerstone LMS in addition to other platforms or integrations in their learning ecosystem.

The Cornerstone LMS connector delivers three primary functions:

• Automated content management
• Content launch and consumption
• Tracking learner completion

How it works

The diagram below represents both the flow from Cornerstone LMS to Percipio and the flow of data from Percipio to Cornerstone LMS.

Automated content management

This is how Cornerstone LMS is made aware of the Skillsoft non-compliance content that is available. Cornerstone LMS calls a Skillsoft API to retrieve the content metadata. Cornerstone LMS then uses that metadata to create, update, or remove each Skillsoft non-compliance content item within its catalog. Each Skillsoft content item uses a Percipio share link. When your learners launch a Skillsoft content item from Cornerstone LMS, the content launches within your Percipio site.

Content launch and consumption

When learners launch a Skillsoft content item from Cornerstone LMS or the Cornerstone LMS Mobile app, the item opens automatically in Percipio without a learner having to log into Percipio. This seamless experience uses SAML Single Sign-On. In addition, learners can also access Percipio directly. Any content that learners access directly in Percipio is still recorded in Cornerstone LMS.

Learner completion tracking

This is how we ensure that Cornerstone LMS has a record for each learner for each Skillsoft content item they accessed. Percipio records all accesses, whether the learner follows an item's link from Cornerstone LMS or accesses an item directly in Percipio. Percipio calls a specific Cornerstone LMS API to send the tracking information. .
