FAQ: Content Launch and Consumption

Will my learners have to re-authenticate to Percipio when they launch the content from Docebo?

Using SAML Single Sign-on (SSO) means that a learner’s access to the content in Percipio should be seamless. This is dependent on how your SAML system is configured.

Can I use Docebo as my SAML Identity Provider?

Yes. Skillsoft recommends using Docebo as your SAML Identity Provider, but you can use any identity provider so long as it can supply the correct learner identifier.

Will I need to create and manage my learners in Percipio?

No. Using our recommended SAML configuration means that a Percipio learner account will be created the first time the learner accesses content. The learner account is populated with the SAML information your system supplies. Subsequent accesses will update the Percipio account based on the data from your SAML system.

How are content searches, discovery, and recommendations managed through Docebo?

Docebo uses the metadata about Skillsoft content delivered through the Automated Content Management process. Docebo has its own algorithms for displaying content, handling learner's searches, and providing content recommendations, which is different from Percipio.

If I assign content to learners in Docebo, will this be shown as a Percipio assignment as well?

No. There is no synchronization of Docebo assignments to Percipio.

Where can my learners discover and launch content from?

Learners will be able to discover and launch content from:

• Skillsoft Percipio or Docebo web and/or mobile

• Docebo mobile app

Can I control who will see the content in Docebo?

Yes. The Skillsoft content, when synchronized, is added to Docebo with “None” as the default availability value. The Docebo admin can then set the appropriate availability. For more information, contact your Docebo Account Team.

Can I control what Percipio collection or license a learner has access to in Docebo?

No. Synchronization of Skillsoft collection information to Docebo is not available. Therefore it is not possible to assign a Percipio license via Docebo.
