FedRAMP Compliance

FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) is a US government-wide program that standardizes the security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. It ensures cloud systems used by federal agencies meet stringent security standards.

Percipio is FedRAMP compliant. In case you are not FedRAMP compliant, it would limit your adoption and enablement for Skillsoft’s government agency customers and security conscious customers.

A platform is FedRAMP compliant when:

  • The platform has gone through a rigorous third-party security assessment.
  • It has an Authority to Operate (ATO) granted by a federal agency or the Joint Authorization Board (JAB).
  • It follows ongoing continuous monitoring and reporting to ensure continued compliance.

In practice:

  • FedRAMP compliance is like a “security passport” that allows your SaaS / cloud platform to be sold to US government agencies.
  • Without it, federal agencies legally cannot (or will not) use your product.

FedRAMP-compliant ” indicates that a SaaS or cloud service that has gone through this government-mandated security vetting process and is authorized for use in federal government environments.
