SOAP Faults (Error conditions)

OLSA Web Services return SOAP faults if an error condition exists. All OLSA Web Services return the following SOAP fault type:

• GeneralFault: This is a catch all fault type for any error condition that is not specifically outlined in the specification for a given Web Service. This also includes authentication failures. The GeneralFault contains a detailed message on the nature of the error.

Many services also return additional faults based on the error condition. Faults are listed for each service, along with an explanation of the error that caused the fault. Specific fault strings are not documented.
