Thin Clients

What is Skillsoft’s definition of a Thin Client solution?

A Thin Client is a desktop environment that communicates with another system through a network; the remote system executes all Skillsoft client logic (HTML, JavaScript, Java and Flash).

With a Thin Client, only visual, keyboard, mouse and audio actions are performed on the device local to the learner.

A Thin Client is typically either a software application operating on a desktop PC or a proprietary thin client device. Two examples of Thin Client software technologies are Citrix ® and Windows ® Terminal services.

Skillsoft will provide support towards the investigation of any issues that may surface, with the understanding that Thin Client configurations are not fully supported and Skillsoft will not enhance or upgrade our courseware to meet the requirements of an unsupported (Thin Client) configuration.
