Follow a Community Member

You can follow community members from many locations that have community activity, or by searching for a particular member. You can only follow members who have configured their profile to allow others to follow them.

You must be a member of the community to follow another member. In order to join the community, edit your profile.

Anywhere you see the name of a community member, you can click it to open the member's community profile page. If the member allows following, the Follow link will display. You can see the name of community members:

• By viewing the comments made on a content item
• By viewing the list of members who recommended an asset
• By viewing your community stream

To follow members by viewing community activities

1. Click on the name of a member of interest to you.

   The member's community profile page displays.

2. Click Follow.

You can also locate community members to follow by using the Find Members feature on your Community page, or searching for specific members.

To find members to follow in the community

1. In the Skillport Header, click Community.

   The Community page displays.

2. Click Find Members on the left side of the page.

   The Find Members page displays a list of your Community members, and provides a search feature that allows you to search for specific members.

3. In Search, enter the name of the person you want to follow. You can enter their first name, last name, or both.

   You must use the full first and/or last name to ensure accurate search results.

4. Click the Search icon.

   A list of search results displays.

5. Click Follow for each member you want to follow.

To find members to follow using Search

1. In the Skillport Header, enter a name in Search and press Enter.

   The search results display.

2. Click the Community category at the top of the list and view the search results.
3. Click the name of the member to visit their profile page.
4. Click Follow.

You are now following the selected Community member.
