The Home Page

Each time you login to Skillport you are presented with the Home Page where you can find messages from your organization, upcoming events, featured content items, books and videos, and more.

  1. The Skillport Header: The header appears on every page and provides easy access to the most common areas on your site, including:
  2. Message Area: Where you may find messages specific to your organization. This content can change often, so check back.
  3. The Left Navigation panel includes access to:
    • My Tasks which provides access to your overdue and upcoming tasks.
    • Quick Links which includes features that may or may not be enabled for your site.
    • Upcoming Events which highlights the next 12 months of upcoming events entitled to you such as Instructor Led Training sessions or Live Events.
    • Featured Topics which, if enabled, lists specific courses or other content your organization chooses to highlight. Click any of the selections in the drop-down list to view more details.
  4. Recently Viewed content based on your own usage.
  5. The Recommended for You carousel displays personalized and popular recommendations based on your own recent content usage over the past year and popular content across your Skillport site. Recommendations based on your content usage may include, for example, the next item in a series, an item from a related series, or an item from the parent topic. Click the left and right arrows to view additional content items.
  6. Featured Contentt which includes content your administrator deems relevant or important. Featured content can change often.
