There are two types of audio available to you: Speex and Legacy. In order to effectively use audio in your course, you can use existing .wav files; however, they must adhere to strict guidelines as outlined in this chapter.
Important Notes About Audio
If editing an existing course, Skillsoft recommends that you note the audio file type already included in the course, and select that choice upon customization (therefore no conversion of existing audio files is necessary).
Once you select the audio type, the Browse function only displays the appropriate extension based on the selected audio type.
In a Speex course, .wav files are automatically converted to .spx files.
In a Legacy course, .wav files are automatically converted to .we files.
