Base Page
The Drilldown template consists of a base page which uses the Explore Graphic format, with two or more content anchors that acts as hotspots. Clicking a content anchor launches a set of child pages.
Note: There can be up to nine anchor items in a drilldown. Each anchor item launches a sequence of up to nine child pages. Child pages may be Expos or List pages.
When you are in the DrillDown base page, the Next Page button of the Player will navigate to the next page in the course.
Child Pages
Child pages have the standard page template format with a border around the edge of the page, to indicate that they are part of a Drilldown. Child pages may be Expos and List templates.
Note: The guidance to writers/LDs will be that there should be a maximum of 15-20 child pages in a Drilldown. It is technically possible to create 9 anchors, each launching 9 child pages, but that would be poor instructional design.
Child pages have a Drilldown page indicator at the bottom-left corner of the page, which shows that you are in a Drilldown page and indicates where you are in the child page set.
Clicking the Close Drilldown button on the bottom-right corner allows you to exit the set of child pages and return to the Drilldown base page.
Once you have clicked a content anchor and entered the set of child pages, the Next Page button will take you through the set of child pages and return to the base page in the end.
The Previous Page button of the Player will navigate backwards through the child page set and return to the base page.
