Add MP4 Audio Files to a Course

Skillstudio does not provide a method for converting audio files to .mp4 format and including the files in a course. In order to add .mp4 audio files to a course, you must first convert the existing .wav files into .mp4 format, and then copy the .mp4 files into the appropriate course folder, using the following procedure.

To add MP4 audio files to a course

1. In your preferred audio editing program, open the original .wav file for your recorded audio.
2. Convert the .wav file into a high quality or average quality .mp4 file type.
3. Ensure the .mp4 file has the same filename as your original .wav file, as indicated in SkillStudio.

   For example, if your original file is named t32_aud_0000.wav, the .mp4 file must be named t32_aud_0000.mp4.

4. Save the .mp4 file in the corresponding audio folder for the course.

   For example: C:\Skillsoft\source\<YourCourseID>\output\media\audio

5. Republish the course.
