Add a Completion Message

The Completion Message tab allows you to customize the message the users see when they complete a questionnaire or assessment. Users see this message after they submit their responses, but before they close the questionnaire or assessment. If you choose not to customize the completion message, users see the standard generic message shown in the fields.

The type of message that displays is different for Questionnaires and Assessments.

Questionnaire Completion Message

  • Standard Completion Message: Displays when there are no answers set to trigger notification of the reviewer (a variant answer), or if the user did not select any variant answers. Also informs users they can view their certificate, or review their answers.
  • Variant Completion Message: Displays when users selected one or more answers that were set to trigger notification of the reviewer. When adding questions and answers, you must indicate which answers are considered variant. (The standard completion message is the default text in this field). You may want to modify this message to inform the user if the variant answer triggers a follow-up action.

    Thank you for completing this questionnaire. A member of Human Resources will be following up with you shortly. If you haven't heard from an HR Representative within 48 hours, please contact us.

Assessment Completion Message

  • Pass Completion Message: Displays when users attain a passing score. Informs users they can review their results, or exit the page.
  • Fail Completion Message: Displays when users do not attain a passing score. Informs users they can review their results, or exit the page.

To modify a completion message

  1. Click the Completion Message tab.
  2. Modify the text under each message, if desired.
  3. Format the text with the tools above each message.
  4. Note: If you paste text into the fields from an outside source, you may lose all formatting.
  5. Click Save.
