New Features and Enhancements as of December 16, 2025
Coming Soon
This section provides advanced notice of features that are releasing soon. These features could impact the way your company uses the site so we want to provide advanced notice.
Skillsoft is introducing a Manager dashboard for users who have a Percipio role of manager. The Manager dashboard will allow managers to see which of their employees are overdue on assignments, which assignments are at risk of not completing on time, how many of their learners are engaged in learning activities, who has signed up for live learning, and how they are doing compared with other managers in the company.
By the end of December, you will see settings that allow you to enable or disable the Manager dashboard and configure which widgets display on the dashboard for all eligible managers. The setting will be on by default.
In January, unless you turn it off, the Manager dashboard will display for all users who have:
- A Percipio role of manager
- Been identified as a Direct Manager for a user using the system attribute Direct Manager
- Been assigned as an audience owner
Skillsoft is introducing experience points (XP) in Percipio, which will provide instant gratification and transform invisible cognitive labor into visible progress. Earning XP for learning and related tasks will make the process addictive, measurable, and rewarding. Learners will be able to earn XP for completing content, while managers will be able to earn XP by creating assignments, viewing reports, and engaging team members.
Users will be able to track their progress as they accumulate points and level up. A leaderboard will show users how they rank compared to peers, adding a competitive edge. As an admin, you will have the flexibility to enable or disable XP, set XP values for activities, and define XP levels for your organization. This customization will empower you to tailor the XP system to best fit your organizational goals and learning culture.
Before the end of 2025, the XP settings will be available under Site Settings > Engagement and Notifications. The settings will be on by default. You will be able to configure the points and levels. If you'd rather, you can also turn off the XP. In January, learners and managers can start earning XP based on your settings.
Engaging your learners to build a learning culture
The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.
With this release of the Percipio mobile app, learners can easily stream their courses and videos to compatible external devices like smart TVs and speakers, enhancing their learning experience. To use this feature, learners simply need to open a course or video in the app, start playback, and tap the AirPlay icon when a compatible device is nearby. Their progress is automatically synced during casting, ensuring a seamless experience.
Also in this release of the mobile app, the Help page accessed from a learner’s profile shows your company’s Support contact information if you customized it from Site Settings > Site Configuration > Support Contacts.
Analytics Updates
The items in this section showcase changes to reports and dashboards to help you more effectively and efficiently manage your programs.
The Assignment Dashboard, Assignment Detail by User, and Assignment Summary by User reports now have a new Assignment status filter. Use the filter to help you view assignments that are either only active, only archived, only canceled, or a combination.
Enhance your reporting capabilities with the new date range filter, Daily. When you select Daily as your date range, you can set up a daily schedule and get comprehensive reports that include all learners without being limited to just the delta of the previous day's data. This flexibility ensures you can tailor your reports to meet your organization's needs and keep track of learner progress more effectively. Additionally, any existing saved schedules can be updated to incorporate these new options.
Manage, promote, and measure learning
The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.
With this release, you can now archive user attributes. This allows you to keep existing audiences and team automations, but prevents new users from gaining access to that attribute. If you archive an attribute, you free up space to add another one.
For more information, see User Attributes.
Previously, when you enabled self registration and required admin approval, admins were not seeing all attribute values entered by the user. With this release, admins see all attribute values entered by the user.
Usability
The items in this section show where we are making improvements to the interface for a better experience.
Learners can now toggle between the existing list view and a full month calendar view when browsing for live courses. Having a full month calendar view makes it easier to manage and visualize schedules for better planning and coordination of events and activities. Currently, the calendar view is not WCAG compliant.
This release finds the following enhancements to CAISY:
- When learners launch a CAISY simulation from within a journey or a course, they no longer have the ability to change the language or the scenario. This change ensures that learners receive completion credit for the designated CAISY scenario.
- When learners interact with CAISY in voice mode in UK English, the voice now reflects that dialect.
- The About page for CAISY now clearly indicates that role model and guided modes are not scored.
