New Features and Enhancements as of May 5, 2026
AI Updates
The items in this section highlight changes to AI elements in the platform so you can stay in compliance with your internal processes.
We will soon be releasing a new Aspire Journey, AI-Assisted Development with Claude, where your learners will use the Claude Haiku model with Claude Code as their development partner to create full-stack applications, alongside other AI offerings such as the AI assistant and Codex CLI.
You automatically receive this new journey with your Technology and Developer Skills Suite. AI content must be enabled on your site and the collection must be entitled in order for learners to see it.
New Settings
To help you better manage new features and enhancements that come out with this release, this section contains a summary of new settings that you can configure in Percipio.
This release introduces a new security setting, Allow SSO-only login for users marked as SSO only. The setting is off by default and does not change existing platform behavior unless turned on.
When on, users that you designate as SSO-only are prevented from logging in with a Percipio username and password and must use single sign-on. This is useful when your organization supports both SSO and non-SSO users and wants to require SSO login for specific users so they don't get confused on which password to use.
When the setting is ON, the bulk user import template includes a new column, allowOnlySSO. Setting this value to TRUE enforces SSO-only login for that user. The default value is FALSE.
Manage, promote, and measure learning
The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.
Administrators can now revise previously marked attendance to correct errors. Admins will be able to update attendance one time per record: If a learner was marked complete, the completion can be revoked. If a learner was marked incomplete, the record can be updated to complete. Please note: Admins will only be able to adjust classes that start after May 5, 2026.
You can revoke both standard completions and waivers.
Previously, only Skillsoft Compliance courses were available for content configuration. With this release, you can now add content configurations to most of the courses* in the Skillsoft library.
Content configuration allows you to apply lightweight customizations to Skillsoft courses to better meet the needs of your organization. You can add an introduction video, specialized text, or a link to an internal website. You can create multiple configurations of the same course to deliver tailored experiences for different audiences, without altering the instructional content.
Because configurations do not modify core course material, future updates from Skillsoft flow to your configured versions.
*Some courses remain restricted due to licensing or legal agreements. Courses with special accreditation may be configurable, but credit cannot be earned on configured versions.
Analytics Updates
The items in this section showcase changes to reports and dashboards to help you more effectively and efficiently manage your programs.
With this release, the Learner Activity report has the following enhancements:
- A new filter interface: The filtering now displays all under one drop down.
- New table layout and function: You can sort and filter by columns and choose which columns to display. The data in the report remains the same and the report still shows the latest data for the last year. For learner data older than one year, use the Detailed Activity report.
- New Consumed in course column: This column which is off by default, indicates whether a video or a module was launched from within a course (Yes) or launched independently in the video-only or module-only player (No).
- New filter labels: The video and module options under the Asset type filter, have been renamed to module only and video only to better reflect that the content is launched outside of its associated course.
If you are using API's to integrate with the Learner Activity report, to avoid any disruption, you can continue to use the current API endpoint for integrations you have already set up.
To help you reconcile differences in course titles and IDs, you now see an information icon in rows where a completion is credited via an equivalency. When you hover over the icon in the Status column for completed courses in the Assignment Detail by User report, you see which equivalency the learner used to achieve completion.
Please note: This enhancement is visible in the UI only and is not supported in the CSV export of the report.
When you view the Content Evaluation report, you now have columns for all custom user attributes.
Engaging your learners to build a learning culture
The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.
Learners now see a simplified My Learning Activity page in My Learning, organized into two tabs: In-platform Learning and External Learning. This redesign gives learners a more comprehensive, at-a-glance view of their learning activity and reduces friction when they need to verify completions or retrieve certificates.
On the In-platform Learning tab, learners see a table detailing all learning activity started or completed in the platform. Learners can sort and filter by date, type of content, and credit-eligible content, allowing them to quickly find specific items, review their learning records, and perform key actions such as downloading completion certificates.
On the External learning tab, learners see any learning that happened outside the platform such as conference attendance. They also see their uploaded certifications.
The Top managers in your org widget on the Manager Dashboard now includes:
- A new link to a leaderboard popup that shows the full ranked list of all managers on the leaderboard. Now managers can see which other managers are ahead and behind them, spurring engagement.
- A new toggle switch called, Show XPs on manager activity, which is on by default. When the toggle is On the leaderboard rank and XP are calculated only on manager XP activity. When the toggle is Off, the leaderboard rank and XP are calculated using both learner and manager activity, but the list still only shows users with the role managers.
These settings display in both the Manager dashboard widget and the Leaderboard page ensuring managers see the same ranking logic wherever they access the leaderboard.
Compliance, Ecosystems, and Integrations
The items in this section help you to integrate Skillsoft platform across your learning ecosystem and promote how Skillsoft works with its partners.
Dynamic content templates now include the new 3.0 harassment prevention content, so you when you create new content, you're ensured to have the current, compliant anti‑harassment training that uses the latest standardized materials.
For existing dynamic content that uses the 2.0 harassment content, you will want to edit the dynamic content and replace the existing 2.0 content to use the latest 3.0 content and republish.
LX Design Studio Enhancements (Platform only)
The items in this section pertain to LX Design Studio, a suite of AI-driven apps and tools that allows you to easily design custom content tailored to your organization's policies, programs, and skills. LX Design Studio is available to customers who have purchased the Skillsoft Percipio Platform.
When creating a custom course, the Design Assistant now suggests up to three relevant Skillsoft courses to use as reference content. If appropriate for your learning objectives, you can select one of these courses to inform the structure and scope of your new course.
The assistant does not reuse videos or assessment questions when creating your course, but reimagines the course based on the content and your specific criteria. This helps streamline course creation by building on proven content without duplicating it.
When you add a video to your Media Library, you can now control how it displays across your site by selecting a custom thumbnail image. You can upload a new image or select an existing media image to use as the thumbnail.
This helps you keep your catalog visually consistent and makes it easier for learners to quickly recognize the right content.
When you add knowledge sources while creating a custom course, the Design Assistant now generates suggested learning objectives and a recommended course duration based on the information in that knowledge source. This helps ensure courses are appropriately scoped and aligned from the start.
You can review and select the objectives that best match your course goals and adjust the duration as needed.
Coming Soon reminders, in case you missed it
The items in this section highlight changes to AI elements in the platform so you can stay in compliance with your internal processes and guidelines.
When you allow Skillsoft to collect the learner side of the conversation during a CAISY interaction, you now have the ability to set how long Skillsoft retains that data. When AI optimization and improvements setting is on, by default, Skillsoft retains the data for 180 days. You now have the option to reduce it to 30, 60, or 90 days.
Please note that if you do shorten the retention period, you may limit our ability to improve AI feedback and accuracy and learners only see their conversation history for that retention period.
When learners upload certification files AI will automatically capture certification details and confirm that the uploaded file represents a professional certification, avoiding reliance on manual entry and improving accuracy and consistency at the point of submission.
Learners can review and adjust the extracted information before submitting. This enhancement gives managers and HR greater confidence in the validity of uploaded certifications while ensuring more complete and representative certification reporting.
ILT Administration, now called the ILT Control Center, is getting a redesigned, insight‑driven experience that makes managing live training faster and more intuitive. A new dashboard surfaces actionable insights—like learners awaiting approval, low‑enrollment classes, missing attendance, and courses that need new classes—so administrators can act immediately. Clear, tabbed navigation now separates courses and classes, with enhanced tables, smarter search, persistent filters, and a dedicated drill‑down for all classes for complete visibility. Together, these updates reduce admin effort, preserve context as you work, and give you sharper control over ILT scheduling, enrollment, and outcomes.
