Copy Retired or Replaced Content

You can copy both retired and replaced content into custom folders. However, if the replacement content for an asset is not installed, you can only copy the original. During the copy process, a dialog shows which assets are retired, and which replaced assets have the new version installed. Copy options are provided for each asset in the list.

You can hover on the asset title to access the Show Details menu and review the status, ID, description, etc., for each asset.

To determine the copy options for each asset, select one of the following choices from the drop down:

Retired content:

• Don't copy (default) - does not copy the asset.
• Copy - copies the asset.

Replaced content where the new version is installed:

• Replace with new (default) - copies the new version to the folder. In the new folder, the icon changes to the standard icon for that asset type.
• Don't copy - does not copy either version of the asset.
• Copy original - copies the original version of the asset to the folder and maintains the replaced icon. You can replace the content with the new version at any time.

Replaced content where the new version is not installed:

• Don't copy (default) - does not copy the content to the folder.
• Copy original - copies the original version of the content to the folder.
