Share an Asset with Others

If your site is configured for it, you can share a direct link to an asset via email, instant message, within a document, or on a web page. When clicked, the link opens the asset's details page. If the person opening the link does not have access to the asset, an error message displays instead of the details page.

Note: This feature is not available when you are accessing Skillport from a tablet. While it is available for a Live Learning course, it is not available for the assets embedded within it, such as an Expert Live session, a pre-test, or a lab.

To share an asset with others

1. Locate the asset you want to share by:
   • browsing the Library,
   • searching the Library, or
   • viewing your assignments in your learning plan.
2. Click the asset's Details link. The asset's details page displays.
3. Click More Actions.
4. Click Share. The Share dialogue box opens.
5. You can:
   • Click Send Email. A new email message containing the title, ID and link opens in your default email account.
   • Copy the URL link and paste into an existing email, instant message or document.
   • Copy the Embed link and paste the HTML code into a web page.
6. Click OK. The Share dialogue box closes.
