Live Course Activity

Both Skillsoft and your organization may offer live courses, which are instructor-led training that you attend at a specific time and place. Skillsoft live courses currently include Bootcamps, Leadercamps, and live instructor training delivered by Global Knowledge, a Skillsoft Company. Global Knowledge (GK) live courses present differently to users than Skillsoft Bootcamps and custom live courses. For more information, see About GK live courses.

To access the Live Course page:

  1. From the left navigation bar, select My Learning, then select Live Learning.

On the Live Learning page, you see a table with the following columns that you can use to sort your courses:

  • Start date: The date the class starts.
  • End date: The date the class ends.
  • Title: The title of the live course. Select the name to open the content and change your registration status.
  • Location: Where the live course takes place.
  • Status: The current status of the live course.
    • Registered: You are already registered for the class. If you want to register or wait list for a different class, you must cancel your current registration.
    • Pending approval: Your request to register for the class is awaiting site admin approval. You can cancel your request, request approval to another class, or wait for the site admin to approve your request. You will get notified once the site admin responds to your request.
    • Canceled: Either you canceled your registration, or the administrator or instructor canceled the class.
    • Wait list: You asked to be added to the wait list for a class that is full. If a spot opens you may become registered. You can join a wait list for as many classes as you want for a live course. Once a wait list changes to a registration, you are automatically removed from other wait lists.
    • Completed: The date the instructor marked you complete for attending the live course.
  • Actions actions menu icon, gray elipse : Use the options under this menu to:
    • View details: provides details of the completion. If content is waived, you see this instead of View certificate because waivers do not get completion certificates.
    • Share: displays a pop up allowing you to share the item with another at your company.
    • Save for later: adds the item to your Saved for later playlist.
    • Playlist add/remove: If enabled for your site, allows you to add this item to a specific playlist that you created.
    • Schedule learning time: Allows you to configure and send calendar invitations containing links to the content so you can make time for learning in your busy schedule. For more information, see Schedule learning time.
