Note: Depending on the computer's operating system version, the following procedure may require local administrator level permissions.
Before you start recording configure the following audio settings:
Open the Windows Control Panel.
Select Sound and Audio Devices.
The Sound and Audio Devices Properties dialog box displays.
Click the Audio tab.
Under Sound Playback, select the default device.
Click Volume.
In the Recording Control dialog box, set the Volume Control. Clear Mute All.
Click Close.
Under Sound Recording, select the default device.
Click Volume.
In the Volume Control dialog box, do the following:
If you have attached the loop-back cable or mixer output to the Line-in jack, click the Select check box under Line-in. Set the Line-in volume to about half-way or lower.
If you have attached the loop-back cable or mixer output to the Microphone jack, click the Select check box under Microphone. Set the Line-in volume to about half-way or lower.
