Importing a Presentation File

When importing a Dialogue Design presentation file (.prs or .mprs), you can select the slides to import through the Import PRS/Import MPRS window. When you select a particular slide, the Slide Preview area shows a preview of the slide.

To import slides from a presentation

1. Do one of the following:
   1. Click on the toolbar, or
   2. Click New Slide > Import File on the menu.
2. From the Files of type drop-down list, select Dialogue Design Presentations (*.prs) or Mobile and Desktop Presentation Files (*.mprs) as the file type.
3. Browse to the location where the file is located and select the file.
4. Either double click on the file or click Open.
5. The Import PRS (or Import MPRS) window displays, allowing you to select the necessary slides to import into Dialogue Design. When you select a particular slide, the Slide Preview area shows a preview of the slide.

   Slide Preview is available for the following file types:

   • PowerPoint slides
   • Images
   • Recorded movies
   • Third-party Flash movies

   For PowerPoint slides, an image of the slide is shown in the Slide Preview area. Recorded movies and third-party Flash movies are played back in the Slide Preview area.

   Slide preview is not available for the following file types:

   • Word documents
   • Excel files
   • PDF documents

   For these types of files, the message Preview not available is displayed in the Slide Preview area.

6. Select the check box for the slides you want to import and click the Import button.
