Add Custom Content to a Custom Channel or Journey

After you publish your custom content for the first time, the final step to make it available to your learners is to add it to a custom channel or journey and then publish that channel or journey.

If you add the content to your channel or journey and do not publish the channel or journey, learners won't see the new content. In addition, if the channel or journey is targeted to a particular audience, the learner must be a member of the audience to see the published custom content.

Add custom content to a custom channel

Modifications to the content selections affect only the selected language view. For information about language views, see Add a Language View to a Custom Channel.

Adding custom content to a channel makes it available to your learners. You can only add published custom content to a custom channel.

  1. From the left navigation bar, select Content > Channels. The Custom Channels page displays.

  2. Locate the channel from the list where you want your custom content to display. If your channel does not yet exist, you will need to create one first.
  3. Select the title, or actions menu icon, gray elipse > the Edit button, a pencilEdit. The Edit Custom Channel page displays.
  4. Select Add content from library.
  5. Enter the title of your custom content and select the search icon search icon, gray magnifying glass.
  6. Optionally, use the filters to refine your search results.
  7. Select the plus icon, add icon, white plus sign in a blue circle, next to your custom content to add it to the channel.
  8. Select Done.
  9. Select Publish to publish the channel updates to Percipio.
  10. The channel may take a few minutes to update within Percipio. Once updated, the content is available to your learners.

Add custom content to a custom journey

To add custom content to a custom journey and publish the journey so learners can see it:

  1. From the left navigation bar, select Content > Journeys. The Custom Journeys page displays.
  2. Locate the journey from the list where you want your custom content to display. If your custom journey does not yet exist, you will need to create one first.
  3. Select the title, or actions menu icon, gray elipse > the Edit button, a pencilEdit. The Edit Custom Journey page displays.
  4. Select Next, Build your journey.
  5. Locate the track where you want to place the content and select the the Edit button, a pencilEdit icon.
  6. Select Add content from library.
  7. Enter the title of your custom content and select the search icon search icon, gray magnifying glass.
  8. Optionally, use the filters to refine your search results.
  9. Select the plus icon, add icon, white plus sign in a blue circle, next to your content to add it to the journey track.
  10. Select Add content.
  11. Select Finish editing track.
  12. Select Next, determine visibility.
  13. Select Next, review your journey.
  14. Select Publish to publish the journey updates to Percipio.
  15. The journey may take a few minutes to update within Percipio. Once updated, the content is available to your learners.
