Document Submissions

Your administrator creates a document submission item and adds it to a channel, journey, assignment, or learning program as a way for you to upload an artifact so you can demonstrate that you have attained the skills necessary. Think of a document submission item as a capstone project; each one is different.

As soon as you upload an artifact, the document submission item gets marked complete and remains complete even if you delete the artifact. You can see the history of your submission activity on your My Learning > See all activity > My submissions tab. If the document submission is the last item that makes a journey, assignment, or learning program complete, and you delete the submission, those containers also remain complete.

Admins see your submissions and submission activity in their reports.

How to Use

When you come across a document submission item in a channel, journey, assignment or learning program, select it, then:

  1. Select Submit your work. This opens a pop-up with instructions for how to complete.
  2. Read the instructions and if available download the template.
  3. Follow the instructions and create your artifact. When you are done creating it, you can upload it. Acceptable formats are Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and PDF that are under 10 MB. You can also upload videos in .mov or .mp4 that are under 100 MB.
  4. Browse to the file, and select Upload.
  5. Optionally, you can enter a comment to provide additional context to your submission.
  6. Select OK to complete the submission process.

After you uploaded an artifact, you can view your document from the Actions menu to ensure it is the right one.

You can view a list of your submissions from My Learning > See all activity > My Submissions. You can download or delete them from the Actions menu.
