Skillsoft Leadership Development Program (SLDP)
-The Leadership Development Program is Skillsoft’s newest leadership offering which addresses foundational, broad-based leadership development for the modern, digital learner. It introduces exercises with practice questions distributed within individual videos to serve as periodic knowledge checks. Features include:
- Knowledge Checks - Inline knowledge checks are embedded throughout the course and are designed to prompt learners to recall and apply what they have learned right away. Knowledge checks help them to evaluate if they are grasping the course topic or if they need to review it again before advancing to the next topic. Feedback lets the learner know if their responses are correct, incorrect, or partially correct. Knowledge checks are not graded or counted toward completion.
- Channel Level Practice - At the channel level, Practice now appears as a new modality. Learners have access to leader-led activities or group learning activities that include discussion guides, and pre-populated PowerPoint slides that can be personalized for their own organizations. Learners can view and download resources from the Practice tab.
- Course Level Resources - Course level resources can appear in two places: inline in the course content and under the course Resources tab. These file-based resources allow learners to immediately apply learned skills on the job through self-assessments and other activities. Learners can download many file-based resources including .doc and .pptx files.
SLDP content is fully supported on the Percipio Mobile app. At the channel level, Practice now appears as a new modality for a given course. Learners can highlight and zoom in on resource content in this view as well as export the files. Several file types are supported, including .doc and .pptx. At the course level, a new Resources tab appears on the detail pages and course content can now include resource files and knowledge checks.
New Overview dashboard
This new dashboard displays several metrics on how learners are interacting with the Percipio platform. The current Overview dashboard has been renamed to Program dashboard (features of this dashboard remain unchanged). Additionally, all dashboards now appear under a single heading in the administrator navigation menu. Data presented in the new Overview dashboard includes:
-
Platform engagement - displays platform usage data including total page views, unique user visits, total session hours, the total number of sessions and the average number of page views per session. When you select a metric chart under Platform engagement, the larger chart updates dynamically to reflect the same data.
-
Content entry points - displays information on how frequently learners are engaging content from several content touch points including search, browsing the library, personal playlists, assignments, and the Activity list.
- New vs. returning users - displays how many users were first time users during a specified time period or users who had logged in prior to the time period.
All charts on the new dashboard have a Save chart option which saves the chart to a PNG file for use in other documents (for example - a slide presentation). The Download CSV option creates a file with the selected chart metrics. This data can then be imported into other business systems or documents.
Report enhancements
The following reports have been updated to include data for custom (linked) content:
- The Content Access report now has Linked Content as an option in the asset filter. If your site has custom channels, the report will now display Custom Content under the Collection column.
The Collections report now displays technology title, technology version, expertise level, estimated duration, category and source for relevant content. If your site has custom channels, the report will now display Custom Content under the Collection column.
Search enhancements
Several enhancements have been made to Percipio search:
Search "fuzziness" now matches against typos. Search looks for matches that are one character different from what the learner entered. Example - if the learner types "Jeva", search will recognize it and will suggest "Java".
Improved search for Certification Exams. The parsing of the certExam field has been corrected, and a boost has been applied to matches to insure assets that are tagged with the matching exam are more relevant.
Custom (linked) content now appears in search results.
The curated type-ahead suggestions list has been updated with Certification Exam data. Now if you start to type a in exam number (for example, 220-901, 220-902) you will see those entries appear in the type-ahead suggestions
ELSA updates
This update to the ELSA Google Chrome extension includes several new features:
